- Organosul NS has achieved excellent results in recently conducted field trials, significantly improving the vigour of newly transplanted vines compared with other combinations of rooting products.
- Thanks to the integration of elemental sulphur optimised through SULTECH technology, amino acids and organic matter in its formulation, it provides young grapevines with ideal conditions for growth and adaptation to the soil.
Traditionally, from December until several weeks after the beginning of spring, new vines are planted and transplanted in a large part of southern Europe.
This period is considered ideal because it allows planting to be carried out during the vine’s dormant period, which begins when the plants completely lose their leaves and continues until the first buds start to appear with the arrival of warmer weather.
In this context, during the transplanting process, AFEPASA recommends considering the benefits that Organosul NS can provide in terms of biostimulation and the natural acceleration of growth in young vines.
As recently confirmed in a field trial conducted in a newly established vineyard in Portugal, the application of 20 litres/hectare of Organosul NS, using a manual injector on the young vines, initially resulted in more vigorous budbreakand up to 6% greater plant growth during the first 60 days after transplantation —see PHOTO 1— compared with the results obtained using other treatments combining amino acids with a specific rooting product based on natural extracts.
The benefits provided by Organosul NS are mainly based on the combination of elemental sulphur optimised through SULTECH technology, together with amino acids and organic matter, creating an ideal environment for root development and plant growth after transplantation into the field.
Thus, the natural ability of SULTECH sulphur to improve soil pH and salinity conditions is complemented by the incorporation of plant extracts and amino acids specifically selected to support root development, including:
- L-Glycine: significantly improves nutrient absorption thanks to its highly chelating properties. It is therefore particularly recommended at the beginning of cultivation, when the plant has limited capacity to absorb nutrients on its own.
- L-Lysine: increases the plant’s resilience under adverse environmental conditions. It is also an excellent catalyst for accelerating the natural uptake of nitrogen present in agricultural soil.
- Glutamic Acid: acts as an osmotic regulator and helps the plant carry out photosynthesis effectively during periods of significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.
In short, if you are planning to establish a new vineyard on your land in the coming weeks, Organosul NS can provide valuable support as a fully natural biostimulant, suitable for use in both conventional and organic farming.
