AFEPASA. 125 YEARS AS A FAMILY-OWNED COMPANY

Azufrera y Fertilizantes Pallarès was founded in 1893 by Juan Pallarès Bosch. This family-owned company from Tarragona specialises in the production and marketing of sulphur in its various plant protection and nutritional formulations and will celebrate its 125th anniversary this Thursday, November 8, at the Tarragona Chamber of Commerce.

The event will reflect on the values of a family-owned company. It will also feature specialist Eduardo Martínez Abascal, IESE professor, who will moderate a round-table discussion with Josep LL. Bonet of the Freixenet Group and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, Santiago Marcó of Marcó Dachs, Antoni Pont of the Borges Group and Jaume Gramona of Gramona. Local authorities, as well as prominent figures and businesspeople from Camp de Tarragona and the wine sector, are also expected to attend.

AFEPASA is the largest agricultural sulphur producer in Europe and is expected to become the world’s largest by 2020. The company currently distributes its fertilizers and plant protection products to more than 80 countries worldwide, with its headquarters located in Constantí (Tarragona). This year, the company is expected to close with a turnover of €14 million, consolidating the exponential growth achieved in recent years, following almost €12 million in 2017.
