AFEPASA, PRESENT AT THE 14TH ACOPAEX TECHNICAL CONFERENCE

The 14th ACOPAEX Technical Conference was held on January 17 and 18 at the Conference Centre in Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz), with tomatoes as the main focus.

The President of ACOPAEX, Domingo Fernández, and the Mayor of Villanueva de la Serena, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, presided over the opening ceremony, followed by the first panel, which focused on industrial tomato cultivation in Italy and Greece. Other topics addressed included seed quality and varieties, Isi Sementi’s innovation for industrial tomatoes, the influence of soil microbiomes on crop performance, the application of microorganisms in agriculture, and the new generation of drip irrigation tapes.

For his part, Manel Montaño, General Manager of AFEPASA, participated as a speaker on the second day of the Technical Conference, where he addressed the role of sulphur as a plant protector and nutrient.

The audience attending the event, mainly technicians, farmers and members of the ACOPAEX cooperative, responded very positively, gaining a clear understanding of sulphur and its different uses.

The final day concluded with a presentation of ACOPAEX’s liquid fertilizers, produced at its own manufacturing facility with the aim of achieving higher crop performance and quality.
