Cauchofrol is a micronised sulphur. It has small-sized particles - under 80 microns - and is different to the other types of micronised sulphur which are less pure as they have between 1% and 2% oil content, depending on the batch. The reason for this oil content is simply to facilitate certain industrial processes. The name Cauchofrol comes from “caucho”, the Spanish word for rubber, since it is a highly recommended sulphur for tyre and vulcanisation industries as its content and particle-size facilitate the process.
