Sublimated sulphur is a sulphur which is produced during a widely-used natural chemical process. It involves sublimation in ovens at high temperatures, which allows the product to reach 99.5% purity with a very unique particle shape. This is why the product is called “flowers of sulphur” in reference to the shape the molecule takes on when the sulphur is sublimated. AFEPASA is the only European sulphur producer that produces this type of sulphur, which differs from other types due to its fineness (between 20 and 40 microns) and unique particle shape. It is a sulphur mainly suited to the pharmaceutical industry and laboratories, as its unique particles allow it to be manipulated more easily on a microscopic level. It is also a sulphur which is used for deep drawing metals.
